Comparison

Comparison is modification or inflection of an adjective or adverb to denote the positive, comparative, and superlative degrees. Here we discuss just adjectives. As you know the positive doesn’t have any distinction. The comparative degree is expressed in Estonian by suffix –m added to the genitive root of the word. The superlative can be expressed by a long or short way. The longer uses the ‘kõige’ preposition plus a comparative form. The shorter form utilizes the suffix –im to be added to the genitive root.
